STUDENT'S LIFE ON CAMPUSES.

Life and Charracter People live or exhibit varies with their location, environmental factors and cultural background. Here I will be talking more about the Student's life on campus.

Who is a Student?

A student is one who is dedicated to learning and improvement through studying and submission to teaching.

Where is a Campus?

A Campus is simply a gathering place of Students who have common aims and objectives, which is to learn and be certified in their various fields of learning. 

Back to our topic; "Important Students' Life on Campus" having know what life, students and campus represent. Let's outline some of the important students life we discovered that exists on campuses.

~ Academic Life: This is the main aim and objective of one going to school. Before one becomes a student, the first thing that comes to mind is his desire to acquire more knowledge and self development. Let's not forget that without one having an active academic life he or she has little or nothing to do on campus, because 80% of things done on campuses are to develop ones academic life. I can now conclude that academic life development is the primary motive of one becoming a student and once misplaced, the student failing on its purpose of being on campus.

~ Religious Life: Religion is people's believe in the existence of a supernatural being called God. I know my reader will be pondering why this as No: 2 and not No: 1. In as much as, we Nigerians are highly religious people but that's not the primary aim of being on campus. When religion becomes your primary aim of learning, then your place should be at the theological colleges where the teach & practice religion in full. Moreso, we recognise that there is a supreme being who is above man's comprehension. One who is always there to guide and direct his people. So whatever region one believes in, he/she should hold firm to it because while on campus there are many unseen forces ever ready to pull a student down. The place of prayers in every students life cannot be overemphasized to be able to overcome stress, frustration and depression associated with campus.

~ Social Life: Man by creation is a social being. God saw that Adam was alone decided to create Eve for companion. There is also a popular saying that man is not an island of it's own. That's to say that at each point of life man needs to socialize. On Campus, this part of life is very essence and necessary, as it covers your relationship with your lecturers, Coursemates, involvement in extra curriculum activities, sports and Friends. This keep active and lively while in school because focusing only can be bothering. We also recognise the presence of introverts and extroverts on campuses but the place of friendship and good relationships in the life of every student is important. As good and quality friendship on campus can make or mar you in or outside the campus. Take a scenario of having a good social life on campus, it will help bring out the best in you but when reverse is the case that bad company one have will lead he/she astray.

Finally in my list.

~ Political/Student Union Life: Man is by nature a political animal, your ability to determine what you want, how you want it and where you want it means involvement in politics. I know my audience will be wondering why this and also asking one question or the other, like i'm in school to be a doctor, engineer, lawyer, etc. What business do I have in politics? But to clear your doubt, this part of life tends to develop the students leadership skills being the ability to take responsibility. This part are not being taught in classes, only learnt informally by taking up leadership positions while in school, be it Students Union Government, Fellowship, Village/Socio-Cultural Associations, etc. Never forget, "if we must say what we do, we must do what we say"- Enyinna Victor. The youths of today are the leaders of tomorrow. But how can you lead tomorrow if you do not prepare today.

Conclusion:

All this outlined Students life on campuses can be distractive if there is no effective time management, do not let one take the place of another. Know yourself and when best to do what. None is least important, for all are needed to maximize and bring out the best out of the student while on campus. Know that the institution awards the student certificate in both learning and character. The Character aspect are not taught in classes but are developed from these campus lives.
