Chelsea had suffered twice a brutal defeat in a space of one week before today's match against Southampton, first was against Brentford that ended in a 4:1 Defeat against Chelsea, followed by a frustrating 3:1 defeat against Real Madrid in their first leg of the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League Campaign.
Chelsea went into this match without their captain Caesar Azpilicueta, who was out due to Positive test for Covid 19.
Today's wins had Mason Mount and Timo Werner both scoring a Brace with Marcos Alonso and Kai Havertz completing the score to six (6)
The match saw Marcos Alonso opening goal at the 8th minutes assisted by Mason Mount.
And a Second Goal in 16th minutes of the match coming from Mason Mount after a wonderful assist.
Timo Werner finding the 3rd Goal in the 21st minutes and Kai Havertz netting the 4th goal in the 31st minutes into the First Half.
As the second half began, it saw the likes of Timo Werner again finding the back of the net for a brace as the match's 5th Goal in the 49th minutes.

While, Mason Mount closed the score sheet with his brace coming in the 54th Minutes of the Match.
This resounding victory, could be seen as the most needed to boast the morals of both the Fans and Players as the prepare for their 2nd Leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals. Also repositioning Chelsea in their contest to finish in the First-Four in the League.
