Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi Declares to Succeed President Muhammadu Buhari - Enyinnavictorblog
Today's Declaration could be termed a long awaited expression of interest to become President of all Nigeria.
Over some month, rumor of Amaechi Being interested in the Nigeria top job has been flying,
Right before his widely attended Turbaning as Dan Amanar Daura on the 5th of February 2022 by Nasiru Danu, Emir of Daura which saw the presence of Great Personalities (who is who) in Nigerian Politics. Though on serveral occasions he had openly disclaimed the rumors.
But today while speaking in the Thanksgiving organized by All Progressive Congress (APC) Rivers State Chapter for a successful national convention held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Rivers State.
Amaechi said "I stand before you today to declare my intentions and submit my application to serve as your next president".
This Declaration had the presence of some APC heavyweights likes of H.E. Adams Osiomhole (Former APC National Chairman), Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong, Senator Ali Ndume (Borno), Hon. Idris Wade (Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives) and others.
Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi had once served as Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly (1999 - 2007), As Governor of Rivers State (2007 - 2015) handed over to the outgoing Governor H.E Nyesom Wike, Amaechi also served as Chairman, Nigerian Governor's Forum while he was Governor, He served as Chairman, Buhari Campaign Organization that won the 2015 & 2019 General Elections on the platform of the APC. Amaechi is presenting serving as a Minister of Transportation (2015 to Date).
Amaechi is an Ikwere Man (ie the Igbo speaking part of Rivers State) who has always describe himself to be an Igbo Man. The Apex Igbo Socio-cultural Group, Ohanze ndi Igbo has in several occasions acknowledged him as a registered, committed and complete Igbo Man.
Rotimi Amaechi also on some occasions has been described as one of President Buhari's Favourites to succeed him. Also one of the active and hard working Minister going by the remarkable impacts he has made in the transportation ministry all round Nigeria.
Amaechi's Declaration under the platform of the APC is coming as the Sixth (6) Presidential Hopeful, the 5th from the South and the one and only from the South-South Region.
APC Presidential Hopeful include;
1. H.E (Senator) Ahmed Bola Tinubu - South-West.
2. H.E (Senator) Orji Uzor Kalu - South-East.
3. H.E Dave Umahi - South-East.
4. H.E (Senator) Rochas Okorocha - South-East.
5. H.E Yahaya Bello - North-Central.
On Everybody's lips now, could Amaechi be the answer to Igbo Presidency?
Could Amaechi be widely accepted by both southern and northern part of Nigeria??
