Prof. Ebenezar Uche Ikonne wins PDP Abia State Governorship Primaries - Enyinnavictorblog
Prof. Uche Ikonne, was hails from Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa, was the Rector of Abia State Polytechnic and the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), becomes the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Abia State Gubernatorial Flag Bearer for the 2023 General Elections.
Earlier before the just concluded PDP Gubernatorial Parties, we saw close contenders likes of the Senate Minority leader, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, Necheta Omerekpe, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor and others withdrawing from the contest. This led to the landslide victory for Prof. Uche Ikonne, as he became the most favoured by the Party Delegates.
The PDP primaries in Abia State had the attendance of INEC Officials after a rumoured non involvement in the slated Primary Elections, Security Personnel's, Media Houses, Party Delegates, PDP Stewards and the Returning Officer, His Excellency Ayodele Fayose the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State.
The results of the PDP Abia State Gubernatorial Primaries are as follows;
Total Void Votes: 8votes
Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe: 5votes (Withdrawn)
Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor: 4votes (Withdrawn)
Sampson Uka: 3votes
H.E Udo Okochukwu: 6votes
Ncheta Omerekpe: 3votes (Withdrawn)
Greg Ibe: 3votes
Lucky Igbokwe: 45votes
Prof. Uche Ikonne: 468votes (Winner).
