Qatar 2022: Nigeria meets Ghana for Second Leg of their FIFA World Qualifications Game - EnyinnaVictorBlog.
Super Eagles of Nigeria is set to welcome today by 6pm the Black Stars of Ghana at the 60,000 Capacity Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja for their second and final leg of their 2022 FIFA world cup qualification matches.
2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21st November to 18th December this year.
For the Nigerian side; Today's match is every important as they battle to secure their seventh FIFA World Cup Appearance with their debut in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010, 2014 and last in 2018. Having finished in the Round of 16 in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nation early this year, and their counterpart Ghana having a poor performance in the said game, this match might be a Giveaway Match.
On Ghanaian Side; Today's match look like a moment to rewrite their wrongs, after a poor outing at AFCON, having successfully held Nigeria Super Eagles to a Goaless Draw in their first leg of their qualification game that was played last week Thursday as the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi. On winning this game, Ghana will be securing their Fourth FIFA World Cup Appearance. With their first in 2006, 2010 and last in 2014 where they finished in the quarter finals. But fail to appear in 2018 World Cup in Russia.
