PDP Abia State Chapter; Finally Zones Governorship Tickets to Abia Central and Abia North Senatorial Districts - State Chairman.
As the present Governor, His Excellency Dr. Victor Okezie Ikpeazu, who is from Abia South will be completing is two tenures of 8years by 2023, the Party state executives led by the State Chairman in statement released yesterday decided to look for candidates from other two remaining Senatorial Zones.
The Statement Proper:
PDP Abia State Chapter after wide consultation with leaders and Stakeholders of our party, including the touring the 17 local governments of the state and subsequent meetings of the state working committee and the entire Executive Committee resolves as follows:
1. That the Governorship Position for 2023 Elections, be zoned to Abia Central Senatorial District and Abia North Senatorial District.
2. That all those from the above-mentioned zoned who are aspiring for the position of Abia State Governor, Should liase with the Party for Presentation to the State Elders Committee between today the 26th March 2022 and Latest 30th March 2022.
3. That the party is appreciative of the Governor His Excellency,Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D for the confidence he has shown in the party and urge him to continue to show exemplary leadership to ensure PDP Flag Bearer for Election 2023 emerges through a process guided by Party decisions.
4. The Party in another Development wishes to inform our party faithfuls that the new membership cards are available at the various local governments and are free courtesy of the Governor.
5. Also be informed that the old cards are no longer in use as they have expired, consequently all aspirants and those nominating them are hereby advised to obtain the new cards for use as they fill out their nomination forms.
6. Finally, all aspirants from Abia State who collected their nomination forms from Abuja should return the forms through the state at 45 Finbarrs Road for Proper documentation for use during Screening.
